Aaron's Bio

Accomplished Actor

Aaron Ragland is a versatile actor and music producer from the west suburbs of Chicago. Musically, he enjoys writing songs, composing, and playing piano and guitar. Despite music, his first introductions to acting was in 6th/7th grade in which he performed a Greek play as a narrator and in Our Town.

At that time, his sole focus was sports. Later, in his junior year of high school, he stumbled on an elective class called Broadcast Production in which he created a short film called "How to Get a Girl." While having so much fun creating that short film, he began to consider acting more seriously. The summer of his junior year, he tried an acting camp and enrolled in another class his senior year.

During this class, he recognized a natural gift to emote along with a unique bass voice that lent well to strong characters. From there, he was encouraged by his acting instructor to pursue the craft. After high school, he decided to leave sports behind and major in Theatre at Elmhurst University.

In Elmhurst University's Theatre Program, he was in numerous plays, but most notably earned 3 Irene Ryan Nominee for his role as Habu in Tracers (2010), Custus in Abraham Lincoln (2011), and Golberg in The Birthday Party (2012).

Since graduating (Class of 2012), he has been acting professionally onstage and in TV/Film projects in Chicago. With various stage plays, he's most well known for his role as Nomax in Five Guys Named Moe The Musical (Directed by E. Faye Butler/Felecia P. Fields; 06/2023),  Walter Lee in a Raisin in the Sun at Beverly Arts Center Chicago (02/2023), and Fred/Young Scroo in If Scrooge Was a Brother at Eta Creative Arts Foundation.

As for TV/Film projects, he's most known for his Bit role as Rio in Desperate TV Series on Amazon Prime (Directed/Written by Richard Gallion; 6/2017) and CoStar role as David Franklin on Chicago Fire's "Regarding This Wedding" episode (11/2015).

As a result of recent success, he's now a SAG Aftra Eligible actor represented by Ambassador Talent, Inc.
